I am loving your blog and photographs! I have to ask... what type of camera do you use, and I am guessing, a macro lens as well?? I would give my eye teeth to have a digital camera/lens that take such wonderful photos so I try to learn as much as I can. Someday.... someday....
Thank you for the beauty that you've given us today! : )

VB, thanks for your thoughtful comment.

My camera is a Pentax Optio MX. When I bought it three years ago as my first digital (at Walmart, half-price), all I knew is that I wanted a camera that would enable me to take macro shots. The 10X optical zoom with macro setting is what caught my eye. Believe me, I am still learning.

My favorite tips: 1. Turn off your flash as much as possible and use natural light. 2. Use the camera's built in timer setting and a tripod for dusk/night shots (to avoid camera shake). 3. Don't feel guilty about taking 25+ photos of the same thing at different angles to get what you really want. Keep your faves and delete the rest! :oD

Hi Rachel,
Thank you so much for the great information and suggestions. I've copied them to my 'camera' folder for future reference. I have to say that I'm impressed with the camera you use with it's built in macro setting...correct? (built in). It's a awesome camera snd your composition, lighting and subjects are just intriguing as all get out! Thank you again! I appreciate your help. : )
